Paradise for some is simply an empty beach on a tropical island. Here, the tranquil inland world comes to an end and a far more complex and surprising one begins. Vast coral reefs and sandy plains shimmer beneath the crystal Red Sea. A tropical sun illuminates an array of living jewels. In waters famed for hidden treasure, another kind of wealth is stunningly abundant. The Red Sea serves as a testament to the resilience of nature; exposed to minimal tourism, sustainable fishing practices and cooler water temperatures. Marine creatures bring joy to creatures of the land and we must provide protection against overfishing and pollution. There is still a wealth of precious jewels strewn about the Red Sea… and there is still time to save them.
